SAN DIEGO – H.G. Fenton Company announces that 1 Stop Furniture Warehouse has found a new location for its growing business at Centerpointe Commerce Park in Miramar. The San Diego-based home and patio furniture discount company signed a 36-month, $499,051 lease for 17,080 square feet of industrial/R&D space in the project, representing a 9,480-square-foot expansion from its previous location on Formula Place.

The transaction brings Centerpointe Commerce Park, a three-building, 198,070-square-foot industrial park, to 95 percent leased.

According to Kevin Hill, vice president of leasing with H.G. Fenton Company, 1 Stop Furniture benefited from H.G. Fenton Company’s close-knit relationships with its tenants and vast tenant-to-tenant network.

“An existing tenant of Centerpointe was making a purchase at 1 Stop Furniture and learned of their desire to relocate and expand,” said Hill. “This tenant knew the space we had available and suggested that Centerpointe would be a great site for the store, which wanted to maintain a Miramar location. Within just a few weeks, thanks to this referral and our team’s ability to work directly with potential new tenants to meet their needs quickly, we finalized the agreement with 1 Stop Furniture.

“This referral was the direct result of the tenant’s satisfaction with its space and our management team’s high level of service,” he said.  “We are very pleased to have formed a new tenant relationship with 1 Stop Furniture and look forward to providing them with additional support as their space needs change over time.”

1 Stop Furniture will use its new space as a showroom and warehouse.  The company was formed in 2000 and began its operation in a 1,000-square-foot showroom offering pool tables and mattresses for sale. Today, the company has grown from two to 10 employees and offers all furniture types from outdoor patio furniture to custom sectionals.

Fenton Company made the decision-making process and relocation so easy,” said Paul Rees, president with 1 Stop Furniture.  “The space not only met our needs in terms of size, layout and convenient parking for our customers, but it was readily evident how well-maintained the project is.  This is important to us since we want to have a sharp, professional image for our customers.”

In the transaction, both 1 Stop Furniture Warehouse and H.G. Fenton Company represented themselves.

1 Stop Furniture Warehouse, now located in Centerpointe Commerce Park at 9050 Kenamar Dr., San Diego (92121), opened its new location in May 2010.

Additional tenants of Centerpointe Commerce Park include Pacific Restoration, Bardon Cabinets, Biopharma Scientific, Sierra Pacific Windows & Doors and Miramar Sign Works.
