H.G. FENTON COMPANY PROMOTES ROBERT GOTTLIEB AND JENNIFER BORNSTEIN
SAN DIEGO – H.G. Fenton Company, one of San Diego’s largest private real estate owners and developers, announces the promotion of Robert Gottlieb to chief financial officer and Jennifer Bornstein to vice president of human resources.
“Robert and Jennifer have instrumental roles in the strategic direction of our company,” said Michael P. Neal, president and CEO of H.G. Fenton Company. “Robert’s financial expertise is invaluable to us in our acquisitions and development efforts, as well as in the overall operations of the company. Jennifer works closely with every level of the company to ensure that we have the right people and the right tools and resources to provide our commercial and residential tenants with the level of service they deserve and expect from H.G. Fenton Company.”
Gottlieb joined H.G. Fenton Company in 1990 as controller of its real estate division. In his new position, Gottlieb will oversee all financial operations of H.G. Fenton Company, including its real estate portfolio that includes 2.8 million square feet of industrial space and eight apartment communities with 2,119 units.
Gottlieb holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in business from San Diego State University. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
Bornstein joined H.G. Fenton Company in 2001 as director of human resources. Since then, she has played a key role in the company’s expansion in the multifamily arena, including its addition over the past two years of property managers, leasing and maintenance personnel. Bornstein also works as operational partner to senior management, particularly as it relates to the implementation of the company’s mission, goals and values.
Bornstein graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources management from Chapman University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association dedicated to human resource management.
