Urbana Receives National Association of Home Builders’ Silver Award
SAN DIEGO (Dec. 28, 2015)— H.G. Fenton Company’s Urbana apartments have received a National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Silver Award in the Best Architectural Design for an Attached Community category. The 96-unit Urbana rental flats community, located at 450 Tenth Avenue in East Village San Diego, was designed in partnership with Orange County-based Architects Orange and opened in early 2015 to residents.
“Our primary goal and greatest source of pride is providing homes where people can live well,” says Mike Neal, CEO at H.G. Fenton Company. “It is a true honor to gain national recognition for giving our residents a state-of-the-art, enjoyable place to call home and to share these accolades with our talented partners at Architects Orange.”
Entering their 36th year, the awards acknowledge building industry excellence and integrity in categories including architecture, sustainability, staffing, merchandising and more. Recipients qualify as finalists for the Gold Awards, which will be presented later this month during the NAHB International Builders’ Show and Design & Construction week in Las Vegas. More than 100,000 attendees are expected for the event.
In addition to this most recent honor, Urbana and Architects Orange have secured an Icon Award from the Building Industry Association (BIA) of San Diego County, a SoCal Award from the Greater Sales & Marketing Council (GSMC) and BIA of Southern California and a Gold Nugget Merit Award from the PCBC.
